<aside> 🌀 Rachana Joshi is a South Asian artist based in Tkaronto (Toronto). She works as an independent dance artist, teacher and artist administrator. Her work draws on her diasporic upbringing and her understanding of Indian classical dance as the foundation for how she expresses herself artistically across various mediums.
She is excited by systems of movement and seeks out varied methods, forms, and approaches to movement in order to better understand her own. The form she has spent the most time in is Bharatanatyam, which she has studied for 21 years and continues to study today.
